Adam's officially a member of our crazy little family... PHOTOS

We made our way back to the Civil Affairs today to receive the official document stating Adam is our son. It did all of our hearts good when none of the little boys wanted to be held by their nannies or directors.

It's official! Notice Adam's hands...just like his referral picture!

Saying goodbye to a very special lady...one of Adam's nannies

Adam's personality is slowly beginning to emerge. We finally got a few smiles out of him and even a few giggles. He had been so quiet that we were truly relieved to hear him cry! He goes through moments when he wants one or the other of us; but overall, we've been able to share the duties without much protesting.

What trip is complete without a trip to Walmart? I'm sure those families that have already traveled will quickly recognize the photos. It was an experience...especially with the Moon Festival coming up. We did witness one gentleman get into a heated argument with the manager of the fresh (and I do mean FRESH) fish aisle. It resulted with the fish and the net flying across the area. Lyvie wanted to bring it home and put it in our aquarium!

I don't quite think she understood that this NOT the pet aisle!

We turned in for an early evening because Adam and Dad were absolutely exhausted. It was another successful day for our newly expanded family. Tomorrow, our guide Kelly (who is absolutely amazing!) is taking us to the Fuji Temple. Maddie is thrilled to be able to see some of the sights. Walmart just didn't cut it for her!

I just LOVE this little boy!

We have learned these things about our little boy...

1. Adam does NOT like anything other than his bottle.
2. When Adam is done eating, he is DONE...and will forcefully let you know it!
3. He is happiest when he's being held very close...which makes both of us very happy, but hot and sweaty.
4. He cannot stand being cold and likes to be completely covered at all times.
5. He loves his silky blanket and can't leave home without it.
6. He loves looking at himself in the mirror.
7. He is mesmerized by his mommy's necklace...just like all three of our girls were.
8. He can't help but smile when his daddy sings him the craziest of songs.
9. He is the light of our lives!!!

For my darling 5th graders... I haven't forgotten you! For today's "Where in the World is Mrs. Church" question, keep reading!

I hear that there is a lot of activity in the tropics! Hurricane Gustav made the news in China...and they are beginning to talk about Hannah too. Just one week before we arrived in China, Typhoon Nuri struck the China coast. I would like you each to create a Venn Diagram comparing and contrasting typhoons to hurricanes. You may use the computers or books to obtain your information. Remember to save all of your work for me! I can't wait to see what you have accomplished!
